I love Halloween and I love Disney. In fact, I’m not sure which one I love more! And nothing says Halloween and Fall more than pumpkins on the porch. So why not combine two of the best things to create something totally amazing?? I’m thinking this year we might even make a Family Night of it and have a Disney pumpkin painting competition, complete with awards! Here are some fun Disney inspired pumpkin ideas for the Disney fanatic(s) in your house!
I love the classic Mickey Mouse head. And the white pumpkin with black stencils gives this pumpkin such a classy look! Check out their tutorial over at Pretty Providence!
If Toy Story 4 is your jam, you definitely want to check out this adorable Forky pumpkin over at The Farm Girl Gabs. And since you’ll already be there, check out her site. She has tons of other Disney themed pumpkins.
We love Winnie the Pooh at our house. I can’t even tell you how many times I have seen the Winnie the Pooh movies. And the ride at Disneyland is definitely a favorite among our girls. Hey! Welcome to my site! To get started I thought it might be nice to get the backstory. If that’s not your thing feel free to skip this for now and get straight to the good stuff!
Crafting has always been my thing. Since the time I could cut and glue I have been creating things. I found whatever I could to make something new. Empty toilet paper rolls? Decorate them, fill them with corn kernels and staple them together. Instant maracas! I mean, what crafting kid hasn’t tried something like that??
When I got married my projects started taking on a different form. Out of necessity I started working with wood. We needed a new bed. We couldn’t afford anything expensive but I didn’t want anything that looked cheap. So I learned how to use a drill and a miter saw. I discovered I could make things. Beautiful things! My projects quickly went from tables and beds to playhouses and fireplaces.
When we moved into our new home two years ago we filled it with our belongings but it still didn’t quite feel like home. I saw so many remodel possibilities and the idea of a blog started forming. I wanted to document our progress in creating not just any home, but OUR home. Then life happened and I started juggling a side job, a new adventure in homeschooling, small children, two bunnies, a cat and a blind dog. Now that we’re finally settling into our stride here it’s time to get started!
